Heart Lake

A beautiful sunset during a early summer evening at Heart Lake in the Adirondacks. The Adirondack chairs line the dock providing a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy the views with some of your closest friends or family. Who would you want sitting there beside you?

I captured this image while spending the night at the Adirondack Loj campsite. It was quite cold that night and got close to freezing even though this was mid June! The cold air was perfect for creating a layer of fog across the lake that night that we sat and watch dance along the surface as the sun set. The Adirondack Loj is the starting point for many of the high peak hikes. This image captures a moment in time for me which I hope is relatable to anyone who frequents the Adirondacks or lakes in general.
